Kangaroos, koalas, and quokkas, oh my!
I've long been fascinated by the animals of Australia. Evolving in isolation for millions of years in some of the harshest environments, they are some of the most unique animals on the planet.
Heard of animals with built-in fanny packs? Australia has plenty of them, from the iconic kangaroo and the cuddly koala to the ever-smiling quokka. Big birds? The Land Down Under has them too - emus and cassowaries. Weird birds? Oz's got them as well - bin chickens (think a pigeon but built like a stork), laughing kookaburras, and...platypuses? Technically, platypuses aren't birds but monotremes that vaguely look like them. They're duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed, venom-spurred, amphibious tanks that lay eggs and glow in the dark! Doesn't that all sound a bit, well, odd? (No wonder Australia is called Oz!) These animals demanded to be celebrated for their weirdness!
Ozzballs is my first foray into animation. The collection is available as an animated sticker pack for iMessage on iOS and as physical stickers (and other goods) on Redbubble.
